
This course develops English presentation skills through practice presentations on famous American short stories by Yoshiko Uchida, James Thurber, O Henry and Isaac Asimov.
Study of each story will take place over three classes, following this sequence: (1) reading and discussion of the story; (2) presentations on the story; (3) video review of the presentations.
The aims of the course are:
To learn presentation skills so that students can have confidence in making presentations on literature in English.
To develop critical vocabulary and critical thinking skills in relation to literature.
