This course will compare and contrast the early twentieth-century novel, The Hound of the Baskervilles, by Arthur Conan Doyle (1901), with Steven Moffat’s cinematic B.B.C. adaptation of it, The Hounds of Baskerville (2011).
Aim
To compare and contrast the Realist, Modern and Gothic features of the novel and film. To consider issues of adaptation when a written work is transformed into a visual medium.
